One of the most handsome limited edition consoles Sony has produced. Designed in collaboration with Sucker Punch, the console and its matching DualSense carry a gold brushed finish with raised golden lines and Mount Yōtei etched into the exterior — hardware inspired by Atsu’s fractured mask, with the kintsugi motif running through the whole design. It’s a genuine object rather than a sticker job.

The hardware is the current PS5 Slim with a disc drive and 1TB SSD. The ultra-high-speed SSD collapses load times to a few seconds, the custom CPU and GPU handle ray-traced lighting, 4K HDR output and up to 120fps on a compatible display, and Tempest 3D AudioTech places sound positionally around you — well suited to the wind-and-water soundscape of 1600s Ezo. The disc drive also handles 4K UHD Blu-ray.

The included Limited Edition DualSense brings haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, both of which Ghost of Yōtei uses heavily — the weight of katana combat through the grips, and the drawn tension of a bow or grapple through the triggers.

Ghost of Yōtei is a standalone story set 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima, following Atsu, a lone mercenary hunting the people who murdered her family across the rugged landscapes of northern Japan.
