The Nintendo Switch 2 system paired with a full game download of Pokémon Legends: Z-A — Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, the enhanced version of Game Freak’s Lumiose City adventure.

Switch 2 is a substantial step up from its predecessor. Games run on a vivid 7.9-inch 1080p LCD touchscreen with HDR support and frame rates up to 120fps, backed by considerably more processing and graphics power. Docked, it outputs up to 4K resolution to a compatible TV. Internal storage is 256GB, expandable with microSD Express cards (sold separately), and the three play modes — TV, tabletop and handheld — all carry over.

The reimagined Joy-Con 2 controllers snap on magnetically rather than sliding along rails, and each can be used as a mouse in compatible games by laying it flat on a surface. HD Rumble 2 delivers stronger, more varied haptics, and the new C Button on the right Joy-Con opens GameChat — voice chat, screen sharing, and video chat with a compatible USB-C camera (sold separately). A built-in noise-filtering microphone handles the audio.

Your existing Nintendo Switch library largely carries over too, with both physical and digital Switch games supported.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A — Nintendo Switch 2 Edition puts you in Lumiose City with Chikorita, Tepig or Totodile as your first partner. For the first time in the series you catch, battle and Mega Evolve in real time, competing in the Z-A Royale to become the city’s strongest Trainer. The Switch 2 Edition adds enhanced resolution and frame rates over the original Switch release.
