A tribute to James Bond’s return to gaming after more than 13 years, this limited edition DualSense launched alongside IO Interactive’s 007 First Light. The controller wears a golden sheen with a radiant barrel design — straight lines fanning out from the centre of the body — framing Bond’s iconic 007 codename on the touchpad. The D-pad, face buttons, triggers and bumpers are finished in black against the gold, and the game’s name appears on the back.

According to IO Interactive’s franchise art director, the golden finish pays tribute to the elegance, legacy and timeless style of the franchise, while the barrel-inspired detailing reflects the themes of the game and nods to one of pop culture’s most recognisable visual signatures. It’s a bold, high-contrast piece — the kind of controller that looks as good on a shelf as it does in your hands.

Underneath it’s a full-specification DualSense with nothing removed. Haptic feedback via dual actuators translates surfaces, impacts and weapon recoil into distinct sensations through the grips, and adaptive triggers add variable force and tension to L2 and R2 in supported games — weapons, vehicles and gadgets each pushing back differently under your fingers.

The built-in microphone handles voice chat with a dedicated mute button, and a 3.5mm jack takes any wired headset. The Create button covers capture and sharing, and the motion sensor, touchpad, built-in speaker and light bar are all present.
