Officially licensed by PlayStation, the Revolution 5 Pro is Nacon’s flagship competitive pad and one of the most thoroughly customisable controllers available for the platform. It uses an asymmetric stick layout — Xbox-style rather than DualSense-style — which many competitive players prefer, and it was among the first PS5 controllers to adopt Hall Effect technology on both sticks and triggers.

Those magnetic sensors mean no physical contact and no wear, so stick drift can’t develop over time — the failure mode that eventually claims most controllers. Trigger Blockers let you switch between long and short pulls, adapting trigger travel to the genre: full analogue range for racing, minimal travel for shooters.

Four Omron micro-switch back paddles handle remappable shortcuts with a fast, tactile click. The D-pad is swappable between a traditional cross and a specialised design created in partnership with professional fighting game player Mister Crimson, and the controller ships with several stick heads, precision rings and a set of weights so you can tune both the feel and the balance in your hands.

Connection is via the included USB-A wireless adapter for PS5, PS4 and PC, or wired with the 3m braided USB-C cable for competition. Battery life runs to around 10 hours. Wireless headsets can connect over Bluetooth, or wired via the 3.5mm jack. Four profiles save onboard and are configured through Nacon’s PC and mobile app. Nacon also sells spare parts through its MyNacon portal, so key components can be repaired rather than replaced.
