The thinnest Galaxy Watch Samsung has made, and a genuine redesign rather than an iteration. The Watch8 moves to a squircle case at just 8.6mm thick and 30g, with a new cushion design and the Dynamic Lug System for a closer fit — the 40mm in particular is light enough to forget you’re wearing it, including overnight.

The 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display runs at 438×438 behind sapphire crystal and reaches 3,000 nits peak brightness, a substantial jump that keeps it readable in direct sunlight. Underneath sits the 3nm Exynos W1000 with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, running Wear OS 6 with One UI 8 Watch.

Health tracking is comprehensive: heart rate, ECG, blood oxygen, skin temperature, sleep tracking with bedtime guidance, and automatic stress monitoring with alerts and guided breathing exercises. The Watch8 adds the Antioxidant Index and an Advanced Glycation End-products reading for metabolic trends, plus proactive coaching across sleep, running and general health. Galaxy AI features run throughout, with Gemini available on-watch for voice commands.
