The Slim packs the full power of PS5 into a chassis around 30% smaller and 18% lighter than the launch console, with no compromise on performance. The ultra-high-speed SSD with integrated I/O brings near-instant load times, while the custom CPU and GPU handle ray-traced lighting and reflections, 4K HDR output and frame rates up to 120fps with 120Hz support on a compatible display. Tempest 3D AudioTech places sound positionally around you, and the disc drive also handles 4K UHD Blu-ray.

The included DualSense wireless controller brings haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, which FC 26 uses well — the weight behind a tackle and the tension in a shot both read through the pad, most noticeably in Career mode.

Backwards compatibility covers over 4,000 PS4 games, with Game Boost improving frame rates in many of them. Astro’s Playroom comes pre-installed.

EA SPORTS FC 26 was rebuilt around community feedback, with two distinct gameplay presets: Authentic, tuned for the most true-to-football feel in Career, and Competitive, built around refined fundamentals and sharper responsiveness. Ultimate Team has been revamped with Tournaments, Live Events and the new Challengers weekend league, while Career mode adds Live Challenges and an evolving Manager Market.
