The generation that brought Apple’s biggest display to the standard Watch line. The Series 7 grew its screen by nearly 20% over the Series 6 and over 50% compared to the Series 3, while keeping the case barely larger — achieved by shrinking the borders to 1.7mm and curving the front crystal over the edges.

The practical result is a display that’s easier to use. Text is larger, buttons are bigger, and Apple added a full QWERTY keyboard you can tap or swipe with QuickPath. The always-on Retina display is up to 70% brighter indoors when your wrist is down, so you can read it without raising your arm.

It’s also the most durable aluminium Apple Watch to that point: the first with an IP6X dust resistance rating, a crack-resistant front crystal that’s noticeably thicker, and WR50 water resistance for swimming.

Health features cover ECG, blood oxygen measurement, high and low heart rate notifications, irregular rhythm alerts, fall detection and Emergency SOS. Sleep tracking, workout tracking across a wide range of activities, and Apple Fitness+ compatibility are all supported.

Charging is around 33% faster than Series 6, with roughly 80% reached in about 45 minutes using the included USB-C magnetic fast charging cable.

The Sport Band is Apple’s classic fluoroelastomer strap — smooth, durable and quick to rinse after a workout, with a pin-and-tuck closure that sits flat against the wrist.
