The premium tier of Samsung’s smartwatch line, and the one with the feature no rival matches: the rotating bezel. Turning it to scroll through apps and menus is faster and more precise than swiping a small touchscreen, and it gives the watch the look and feel of a proper timepiece rather than a screen on a strap.

The Watch8 Classic also carries a new Quick Button on the side, mappable to start a workout or launch a favourite app in one press, and the upgraded Dynamic Lug System for a closer fit. The case is stainless steel, and the new cushion design brings it in line with the rest of the Watch8 family.

The 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display runs at 438×438 and reaches 3,000 nits peak brightness, which keeps it readable in direct sun. Underneath sits Samsung’s 3nm penta-core Exynos W1000 with 2GB RAM and 64GB storage — double the storage of the standard Watch8 — running Wear OS powered by Samsung.

The LTE model is the key distinction here. With an eSIM you can take calls, send messages, stream music and get notifications without your phone nearby.

Health tracking is the most comprehensive Samsung offers: ECG, blood pressure monitoring, body composition, sleep apnoea detection, irregular heart rhythm notifications, Energy Score, Vascular Load, the new AGEs Index for metabolic trends, cycle tracking, high stress alerts and a Running Coach. Google Gemini runs on-watch for voice commands and cross-app tasks.
