An affordable indoor security camera that covers the essentials well, with a free cloud history that many rivals now charge for. The Codi is designed for monitoring homes, flats, offices and shops, and works equally well as a pet or baby monitor.

It records in 2K HD, noticeably sharper than standard 1080p cameras, which makes faces, objects and details easier to pick out when you’re reviewing footage. A 110° wide field of view covers most of a typical room from a single corner.

Smart alerts are where it’s most useful day to day. Human detection filters out movement from shadows, lighting changes, plants and pets, so you’re notified when a person is actually moving rather than every time the curtains shift. You can also set up to three custom motion zones to focus on doors, windows or other priority areas. Sound detection triggers alerts too.

Built-in infrared LEDs provide night vision up to around 30 feet in complete darkness. Two-way audio lets you listen and speak through the camera from your phone — useful for talking to family, calming pets or warning off an intruder. A remote siren can be triggered from the app to scare off unwanted visitors.

Storage is flexible and subscription-free by default: every camera includes free 24-hour cloud video history, and a microSD slot supports cards up to 64GB for local recording. A magnetic back and included mount let you place it on a shelf, stick it to a metal surface, or fix it to a wall.
